Story

The idea for BitFlux comes has it's origin going back to my work as a SW researcher at Intel and Micron years ago. I learned there was much we could do at the OS and systems level to improve performance and lower costs. Implementing the required changes in a practical way was difficult. We developed a product and a customer shipped it in a limited run. But it proved too hard to scale. I shelved the idea.

Until AI changed everything.

  1. Core algorithms can be grown with AI from data instead of designed by humans as a PhD thesis.
  2. Computer hardware has fundamental changed with the rise of AI, Operating Systems and system software aren't keeping pace.
  3. Product development has changed with AI, as a solo technical founder I can now develop and release a product spanning a lot of technologies instead of needing experts in each technology or contracting it out.
  4. AI is going to start changing how systems are deployed and managed. It opens up a new post-SaaS business model for us to move into.
